Kahului has an unemployment rate of 2.3 percent compared to the US average of 3.9 percent. The city has seen a job market increase of 0.2 percent over the last year and has a predicted future job growth of 35.6 percent over the next ten years. This is higher than the US average of 33.5 percent. The sales tax rate for the community is 4.0 percent compared to the US average of  7.3 percent while the income tax rate is 8.3 percent compared to the US average of 4.6 percent. Maui Invitational Island Ticket Sale Specials Available

The Maui Jim Maui Invitational announced today a two-day ticket special for Maui residents will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27-28, at four Maui locations. A limited number of All-Day Reserved and Single-Game General Admission tickets will be available for purchase to the 2019 Tournament, which will take place Nov. 25-27. Read more here.

The Maui Jim Maui Invitational is famous for hosting surfing competitions in Maui and it has revealed the 2019 Tournament bracket, setting the stage for an action-packed three days of Lahaina Civic Center. The teams that will join include BYU, Dayton, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan St., UCLA, Virginia Tech, and host Chaminade Combined. The invitational also announced that there will be a special two-day ticket sale for Maui residents. A limited number of All-Day Reserved tickets will be available for purchase to the 2019 Tournament. Individuals are limited to buy only two tickets per game at a time and should be made in person. Cash and credit card payments will be accepted.

Kanaha Beach Park in Kahului, HI
